Sourcing
THE ORIGIN OF PLANTS AND THE EXCELLENCE OF OUR PRODUCERS IS A CENTRAL ISSUE AT BY CHARLOT.

By Charlot places the greatest importance on the selection of its plants.
This is the very first step in their life within the brand. Each species is chosen from the best French and European producers for its shape, robustness, and unique character. When they do not or no longer meet the brand's quality and aesthetic standards, the plants find a second life thanks to a low-cost resale service. The same goes for damaged pots.

By Charlot partners with producers who adopt an environmentally friendly approach. This approach aims in particular to limit their consumption of fossil fuels as much as possible. For example, greenhouses in Italy and Spain are never heated, while greenhouses located in Holland use geothermal energy. When possible, By Charlot producers do not use chemical fertilizers, limit their water consumption, and minimize their use of plastic: some of them, for example, have opted for delivery trays made from recycled materials.
IN A SPIRIT OF RECYCLING, BY CHARLOT HAS SET ITSELF THE OBJECTIVE OF NOT THROWING AWAY ANY OF THE PLANTS RECEIVED IN ITS GREENHOUSES, FACTORY AND SHOPS.

SOURCE OF CHANGE OF SCENERY
Although they are sourced locally and grown in our greenhouses in the Île-de-France region, the vast majority of By Charlot plants originate from exotic lands. Whether they originate in Australia like La Captivante, in the African rainforests like La Fabuleuse, or in Nepal like L'Élégante, our plants are an inexhaustible source of exoticism.
By Charlot thus maintains bonds of trust with its producers, all of whom share the brand's values.
