Once selected from the best producers, the plants stay between one month and one year in the brand's greenhouses.

"We've always wanted to work closely with the best suppliers and producers. When the opportunity arose, we acquired our own greenhouses in the Île-de-France region. In addition to growing our plants, these greenhouses allow us to ensure a short supply chain."

Owning its own greenhouses allows By Charlot to cultivate both locally and responsibly

But also to ensure greater control over plant maintenance. Every day, a team of several expert craftspeople takes turns caring for the young plants.

Cleaning, pruning, checking humidity and temperature: each plant receives personalized care, attentive to its needs.

With the goal of environmental responsibility, plant care is carried out manually and, as much as possible, using natural methods. Thus, the use of phytosanitary products concerns less than one percent of By Charlot plants, and remains reserved for plants affected by diseases.

The affected plants are carefully separated during these treatments. Furthermore, rainwater harvesting and the use of techniques that reduce water consumption allow for sustainable watering. Finally, in a circular spirit, plant waste is recycled into compost, which then serves as fertilizer for growing plants.
